The Giant Caramel Apple
In the Fall of 1989, Mike & Rachel Dunn created their 2 1/2 – 3 lb. giant chocolate covered caramel Fuji apples. They were created without a stick for a fresh-from-the-tree experience, meant to be sliced and served – which, to this day has proven to be the fun & delicious holiday dessert!
Each giant Fuji apple is dipped in our handmade caramel, signature dark chocolate and fresh roasted California Nonpareil almonds. Our Giant Caramel Apples weigh a whopping 2 1/2 – 3 lbs. each and serve 12 people!
A sweet giant Fuji apple, fresh caramel (evaporated milk [milk, dipotassium phosphate, carrageenan, vitamin D3], corn syrup, cane sugar, butter, pure vanilla, sea salt), Dark Chocolate (Direct Trade cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, whole vanilla beans, organic soy lecithin), dry roasted California Nonpareil almonds.
Keep refrigerated. To serve, bring apple up to room temperature at least 4 hours before cutting. Using a sturdy knife, cut into wedges and serve immediately. Cover any remaining portion with plastic wrap and return to refrigerator for up to one week.
